Amanda Friedeman is Harvey L. Miller Family Youth Educator at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, overseeing programming for the museum’s elementary- and middle school-aged audiences, including field trip content, professional development offerings for educators, family programs, and Make a Difference! The Harvey L. Miller Family Youth Exhibition. Amanda also oversees the Museum’s Speakers’ Bureau of Holocaust survivors, liberators, and eyewitnesses, and is currently working to incorporate the voices of the Second Generation.
Amanda has a BA in Art & Archeology from Princeton University and an MA in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with emphases in museum and community-based programs, interdisciplinary curricula, and visual literacy.
