Get Creative withTefillah Presenter: Greta Rothschild
This workshop will address creative approaches to teach our students prayer, not just through reading fluency, but with kavanah and understanding. You will come away with practical techniques in building prayer skills, vocabulary and concepts through the use of games, art, learning centers, technology and more. Your students will love being engaged and having fun!
This session will be offered during both breakout periods and is designed for teachers working with grades 3 - 7
Greta Rothschild has been a passionate Jewish educator for over 35 years. She has served as Education Director of the Aitz Hayim Center for Jewish Living for 17 years and Educator at Moadon Kol Chadash for 8 years. Greta currently teaches at Moriah Congregation and is a B’nai Mitzvah tutor at North Shore Congregation Israel. Her educational work also spans positions as Synagogue Program Director, Family Educator, BJE Mentor, Camp Director and Youth Advisor. Greta’s academic work includes an MSW from Yeshiva University, BSW and Jewish Studies Certificate from Indiana University and a graduate of the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute, Whizin Institute and the Melton Program for Principals.
