Ever since Biblical times, when the Israelites journeyed toward the Promised Land carrying banners; banners have been a powerful way for individuals and groups to make statements and express their identities.
In this intensive workshop, you will learn how to use banner-making as the art component of your Israel-related curriculum this year. Learn about the history and artistic elements of banners, and discuss techniques for creating and displaying banners as a way to process material, evaluate learning, and beautify the classroom. Participants will incorporate content related to Israel into the banner they will create, from Israeli leaders and symbols to places in Israel and commonly used Hebrew words. This 9:35 am - 11:30 am Intensive is designed for teachers working with all grades
